Niger State Police Command Arrests Six Suspects for Thuggery and Armed Robbery.
In a significant crackdown on crime, the Niger State Police Command has apprehended six individuals suspected of thuggery, disturbance of public peace, armed robbery, possession of dangerous weapons, and illicit drugs. The arrests were made following reports of youth restiveness and robbery in the Gbeganu area of Minna on October 5, 2024.
 Arrest Details
The police operation, conducted on October 7, 2024, at 1:00 AM, was coordinated by Area Commander Bosso, ACP Galadima Lassa, and involved Kpakungu and GRA Divisions. The suspects arrested include:
- Musa Umar, 50, of Kulogbe, allegedly a youth leader who incites violence
- Sirajo Isyaku, 20, of Kutirko
- Yusuf Ahmed, 18, of Kutirko
- Bashir Yahaya, 20, of Fadikpe
- Shuaibu Mohammed, 38, of Fadikpe
- Usman Adamu, 21, of Sabon-Titi
Recovered Items
During the operation, police recovered:
- 25 wraps of suspected cannabis
- 4 suspected stolen handsets
- 1 knife
- Â 1 sword
- 3 sticks
The suspects are currently under investigation at the Bosso Area Command and will be charged to court for prosecution. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing suspects.
