Fatal Family Feud: Lagos Police Launch Manhunt for Cousin Who Stabbed Relative to Death.
A heated argument between cousins turned deadly in Lagos State on Monday, leaving one man dead and another on the run. According to the Lagos State Police Command, the suspect, identified as Ganiyu Ibrahim, allegedly stabbed his cousin, Afeez Akeem, in the chest during a physical altercation at a family gathering in the Alimosho area.
The incident occurred around 7 am, when a misunderstanding between the two cousins escalated into violence. Ganiyu allegedly broke a bottle and used it to stab Afeez, who was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead.
 Investigation and Manhunt
The Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect is now at large. A team of detectives was immediately deployed to the scene, and photographs were taken. The family declined an autopsy, opting to bury Akeem according to Islamic rites.
The police are urging anyone with information on Ganiyu’s whereabouts to come forward. The investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
